The couple issued a statement just hours fater their sons's birth at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, "We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi on December 20, 2016. We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection."

Kareena Kapoor Khan promises to support Taimur Ali Khan’s future career choices


Kareena Kapoor Khan is undoubtedly one doting mother to B-town’s favourite star-kid Taimur Ali Khan. Just over a year old, and the toddler also commands a large fan-following and has the paparazzi waiting to get a glimpse of him. His family has even gone on record to admit that the charmer is the already the biggest star in their clan.
While he still has a long way to go before he makes a career decision, many have already begun wondering if he will follow in his parents' footsteps and venture into Bollywood. In a recent interview, his mommy, Kareena was asked about building a legacy, the beauty stated that her decision to become an actor had nothing to do with her family, but her passion for the art. She added that contributing to the Kapoor family legacy was not forced on her and that she would maintain the same for her son.
Opening up about being a parent, Kareena vouched that she and hubby Saif Ali Khan would give Taimur the liberty to be an actor or even a chef if he wanted to. She also advised other parents not to put too much pressure on their children but instil in them good values and traditions.
After the success of ‘Veere Di Wedding’, Kareena will be seen reuniting with Akshay Kumar in the upcoming film ‘Good News’.

Kareena, who has started with the promotions of her upcoming film 'Veere Di Wedding' recently opened up about the attention Taimur has been getting from the paparazzi. She was reportedly quoted saying that Taimur is quite young at the moment and she wants him to lead a normal life and would want the shutterbugs to stop clicking him whenever he comes out of the house. According to further reports, she was quoted stating that Taimur is only a few months old and she doesn't want her son's life to be documented.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kareena's 'Veere Di Wedding' also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in pivotal roles and is all set to release on June 1, 2018.
